In Season Training Starts in October

Our “In Season” training programs start up in October.  We are currently scheduling Private, Semi-Private, Small Group, and Group sessions for Major Bantam, Bantam, Pee Wee, and Atom players.  Programs are designed to maximize athletic development opportunities at each age level.

We strongly believe in the same philosophy that Hockey Canada is promoting – Long Term Athlete Development.  Our training programs provide opportunities to develop athletic strengths and skills in an off ice venue further enhancing our athletes’ passion and enjoyment of sports.  We also ensure that program design facilitates improvement of each athlete’s Primary and Secondary fitness indicators within a fun and competitive environment.

Coach Strople Heads to China!

Outside Edge coaches and athletes would like to congratulate one of our Lead Instructors – Paul Strople – for landing the Chinese Women’s Olympic Development Head Coach position.

Paul left for China yesterday and will be spending the next two winters as Head Coach of the Women’s Olympic Development program.  This is the second time that Paul has gone to China in this role.  The first time resulted in successful qualification for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.

We look forward to checking in with Paul on the progress of the Olympic Development program and learning more from his International experience.

Spring 2016 Evaluation Process

Chris and Paul would like to thank all of the players and families who took the time to come out to our evaluations today!

We would like to let everyone know that we will be communicating with families over the weekend to let them know if they will be invited back for our final evaluations on November 11th.

Please feel free to email or if you have any questions.

Mike Stickland joins Outside Edge Spring Program

We are very excited to announce that Mike Stickland has joined the Outside Edge Spring Program as an Assistant Coach.

Mike brings a wealth of playing experience, having played 4 seasons in the WHL with the Kootenay Ice and Swift Current Broncos.  Mike finished his playing career with 4 seasons at St. Mary’s University.

In his short time coaching in our program he has proven that he is quickly able to build a rapport with the players and he has repeatedly demonstrated his value in practice and on the bench.
